  • Mission and aims

Women and Wine Association is a national women's organization in Poland dedicated to education about wine, promotion of fulfilling lifestyle and activities, and entrepreneurship among women.
Our aim is to develop and foster oenological knowledge, to discover the philosophy of wine in its cultural, culinary, and health related aspects, and to enriching the quality of life.
Our activities are focussing primarily on training for a wide audience related to the gastronomy and winemaking in Poland and for all wine lovers.
We work with companies, which we represent and support. We promote each other so that each of us may benefit the most as members of the Association. Our members are importers, restaurateurs, oenologists, journalists, bloggers and wine enthusiasts.
  • Mission and aims

The Association includes not only the patronage of wine events, but also exhibitions, presentations and functions. We also cooperate with ENOEXPO, the biggest wine fair in Poland, festivals such as Najedzeni Fest! [The Replete Fest] and Święto Chleba [Bread Festival], the wine and culinary publishers’ Czas Wina [Wine Time], Kukbuk and Lounge. We signed a partnership agreement with the Małopolskie Stowarzyszenie Winiarzy [Lesser Poland Association of Winemakers].

We meet once a month in Krakow, Katowice and Tychy. Warsaw meetings are held once a quarter. The Association also visits Lublin and Bialystok. We are developing our activities systematically and plan to extend it over time to the entire country.
To our monthly meetings, we invite experts from diverse fields who help us in the development of our enterprises and our interests. Until now we have already hosted IT professionals, legal experts, vintners and oenologists, to name but a few. Each meeting is accompanied by wine tasting in the form of a workshop.
  • Mission and aims

The meetings are either closed and may be attended only by women who are associate members of the Association, or open to members and guests under the title "Women, Wine and Friends."
Members of the Association are active in writing our blog ‘Women and Wine’. We write about wine, culinary specialities, travels and passions. The mission of the blog is to remedy stereotypes and to convey in a lucid and easy to understand way, constituent parts of the wine.
In 2013, the blog ‘Woman and Wine’ was nominated for the wine blog of the year of Czas Wina Magazine [Wine Time Magazine] and in 2016 blog received the Audience Award in the plebiscite BLOG OF THE YEAR organized by the magazine Czas Wina [Wine Time MAgazine]. In 2014, ‘Women and Wine’ blog received the award for innovative and creative ‘Wine Solutions for Windows’ applications, an application which links blog ‘Woman and Wine’ with the Wino w Krakowie [Wine in Cracow] and Nasze Winnice [Our Vineyards] websites.
In 2017, for the first time, we awarded the Woman and Wine Award for an outstanding female figure in the wine world, which Barbara Płochocka co-owner of Winnica Płochockich received. The award ceremony was attended by Elizabeth Gabay MW.
